In the United Kingdom we have differents celebrations and each one have a way of celebrating. And now I going to explain some.
Boxing day: Is on 26 of December and is a holiday day so the shops are closed. It is known as Boxing Day because it is an epoch in which the merchants receive his bonus. Traditionally it is a date to visit the family and friends and to devote itself to celebrate. In addition, the Boxing Day is one day for football matches and other traditionally English sports.
Pancake day: Is the Tuesday that falls down 41 days before the spring beginning, is eve of the fasting Lent. On this day, from the first days of the Christianity, all the Christians necessarily were confessing and taking advantage of the last opportunity to consume all the rich food in fats prohibited during the Lent.
Burns night: To commemorate the birthday of the Scotch poet Robert Burns, the Night of Burns is a patriotic festival that is celebrated on January 25. The party begins with typical food, with delights as "Powsowdie"; "Cabbie-claw" and " Finnan toasties". But the speciality is in the haggis - ground lamb, offals, flour of oats and spices parboiled in the stomach of the sheep.
Carnival of nothing hill: This carnival is very famous and his beginning date back of the year 1966.
